ETA: I actually forgot that I begun the year with a HP ficlet:

All great lines, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would definitely be June's. :D

I was really surprised myself at how different they all were. :) I guess they might blur together a little, so it was a fun exercise to see that yes, they do actually have a different tone.
And yes, it's probably also my own favourite of those opening lines. :)
